Case 1 Presentation: 55 year old business woman, normal body weight, irregular exercise Last menstrual period – 2 years ago; no HRT, no breast cancer history
Post Menopause With Estrogen Dominance
Case 1 Presentation: A 52 year old woman with BMI of 29 (overweight is classified 25-29.9). No menses for two years and she reports no menopausal symptoms other than occasional night sweats. Self reported history of fibrocystic breast disease; mother had uterine cancer. Eats commercially raised chicken, turkey and red meat - standard American diet (SAD). She is increasingly fatigued by the end of her day.
Post Menopause With Excess Progesterone
Case 1 Presentation: 60 year old female who has been on bi-estrogen 1mg (E2 0.5 mg and E3 0.5 mg) and progesterone cream 100 mg/day for two months to relief hot flashes and night sweats. Initially the BHRT cream eliminated hot flashes and night sweats, but now symptoms have returned. Saliva testing is indicated to pinpoint the imbalance.
Premenopause Case Studies Post Hysterectomy Without Oophorectomy
Case 1 Presentation: 42 year old female pre-menopausal woman without menstrual cycles Hysterectomy due to uterine fibroids 1 year ago; ovaries intact, no HRT.
Premenopause With Estrogen Dominance
Case 1 Presentation: 36 year old woman who is slightly overweight (BMI = 26) * complains of anxiety and irritability 10 days before her cycle. Fertility is not an issue in this case. * CDC classifies BMI 25.0-29.9 - overweight
Young Premenopause With Estrogen Dominance
Case 1 Presentation: This is a 17 year old young woman with irregular cycles. BMI = 31.1 (classified as obese); she states weight gain started age 8. Fatigue with aches and pains are her general complaints. Family history: 21 year old sister has PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), mother has type II diabetes.
